City of Melbourne, in partnership with Hero Apartment Building Owners Corporation, invites expressions of interest for a billboard-scale public art commission.
Victorian artists are asked to submit a short artist biography, up to three examples of recent artworks and a statement about their creative practice. A selection panel, chaired by the City of Melbourne will shortlist three artists who will recieve $1000 to develop an artwork proposal. One artist will be selected and recieve $5000 to deliver the final artwork file for fabrication and installation on the iconic building in Melbourne’s city centre.
The successful submission will be displayed on the prominent Russell Street frontage of the Hero Apartment Building for approximately six months.
Submissions close at 5pm AEST Wednesday 14 June 2023.
