Marketing Officer

Bundanon is a unique national and international arts and education organisation situated in regional Australia. Home to a valuable $46.5M art collection, bequeathed by artist Arthur Boyd, and augmented by a significant contemporary art collection, the organisation creates residential learning programs for students of all ages and operates Australia’s largest artist in residence program. Bundanon has re-opened after a significant transformation, with the construction of a new art museum, education facilities and associated accommodation and café/dining to support a wide range of cultural, tourist and commercial customers.

The Marketing Officer contributes to marketing campaigns to grow and diversify audiences for Bundanon’s arts, learning, commercial, environmental and heritage programs. 

The position is responsible for our digital communications, including management of website, as well as print materials. The positions develops copy, working with producers, artists, freelance writers and colleagues.

Selection Criteria

Knowledge/ Experience  

  • Job-related experience in a marketing role. 

  • Knowledge of the Australian arts and/or tourism sectors. 

  • Experience in writing and editing in print and web environments. 

  • Experience in managing print and design, including proofing and budgeting. 

  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team environment. 

Qualifications 

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, arts or a related field. 

Skills 

  • Skills in relevant computer software systems including some or all of the following: Adobe Creative Suite CS4, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and CMS. 

  • Excellent negotiation, inter-personal and communication skills. 

Attributes 

  • Ability to manage competing demands and remain calm under pressure 

  • Willing to work weekends and evenings, on site or elsewhere. 

 

Desirable 

Experience working in a State or Commonwealth Government environment
