Design and Marketing Coordinator (Maternity Leave Position)

Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) is one of Australia’s outstanding regional art museums, showcasing our exhibitions and collections in new and exciting ways and creating a welcoming, inclusive and engaging space for all audiences.

 

Position Overview Join the fast-paced dynamic workforce at the Shepparton Art Museum as the Design and Marketing Coordinator. As part of the Engagement team, this position is responsible for developing engaging design for the Museum exhibitions, programs and events and coordinate marketing initiatives on a local, state and national level.

Ideal candidates will enjoy working with a small team, have experience developing and delivering marketing campaigns and a passion for the arts.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in design, communication or arts administration or demonstrated experience in these areas.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience and skills including the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Interest in the visual arts sector and understanding of the creative process.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to quickly source and disseminate information.
  • Excellent computer skills including full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products as well as e-newsletter software, Vimeo, YouTube and the Adobe suite of design products (PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing targeted and effective social media content.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing website content and CMS management.
  • Experience in tailored communications to clearly identified audience segments including Morris Hargreaves McIntyre Audience Segmentation.
  • Experience in ensuring content is accurate and consistent across a range of promotional platforms.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing a strategic communication plan within a budget.
