The Lake House Artist Residency program is an opportunity for personal development and offers artists the time and space to be explore, experiment and create.

Lake Macquarie is bursting at the seams with creativity. Home to the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang, the Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima plus two lakeside theatres and a public art trail.

Situated only 2 hours from Sydney, Lake House is conveniently located by the Lake. The self-contained house features three bedrooms and can accommodate up to six guests.

Council offers two Artist Residency programs – self-funded or Council-funded. Three Council-funded residencies of seven days duration are offered each year. Each residency is valued at $2000 and includes accommodation plus a modest per diem of $150 per day.

Self-funded residencies are offered year-round and Expressions of Interest (EOI) must be submitted at least eight weeks prior to the preferred residency date.
